Subject: Important Update on Godot Course Delays and Our Sincere Apology

Hey Everyone,

We hope this message finds you well. We want to take a moment to express our deep gratitude for your support, both personally and professionally. Your trust in our courses means the world to us, and we are truly grateful for your understanding and patience.

This is a difficult post to make and Yann and I have been talking all day about various ways in which to discuss it with you all as we find ourselves in a situation that we did not anticipate. Our dedicated Godot instructor, Yann, has been facing health challenges which have worsened, which have led to unavoidable delays in our course delivery. We understand the frustration and disappointment that these delays have caused, and we want to address this matter with utmost transparency and empathy.

First and foremost, we want to assure you that our intention is clear: we are committed to completing the courses that you have purchased. We believe in the quality of our educational content, and we are determined to deliver it as soon as Yann is on the mend. Your investment in these courses is important to us, and we take our responsibility to provide you with valuable learning experiences seriously.

In light of Yann's health issues, we have decided to take a proactive step to ensure the best possible outcome for everyone involved. Until Yann has fully recovered and can resume instruction, we will be temporarily taking the affected courses off sale. We believe this decision is in the best interest of all our students and the instructor, and that it is the right way to maintain the quality of our courses.

For any of you who have enrolled in non-Godot-related courses with us, these courses will continue to progress as originally planned. We understand the importance of delivering on our commitments, and we will maintain our regular course schedules in those areas.

We want to emphasise that we value your engagement and encourage you to reach out to us at any time. If you have questions, or concerns, or require any form of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us with anything you need.

We will keep you updated on Yann's progress and the resumption of the affected courses as soon as we have more information to share. Until then, please know that your learning journey remains important to us, and we are working diligently to ensure a successful outcome.

Thank you for being a part of our learning community. We look forward to brighter days ahead and will continue to host live streams every couple of weeks or so. During these live streams, Yann will join in, providing an opportunity for you to interact with him and stay connected with our community. We hope that this will serve as a means to keep you updated and as a platform for you to ask any questions, share your thoughts, and engage with both Yann and me.

More details about the live streams, including dates and topics, will be shared on Our Discord

Once again, we sincerely thank you for your understanding and support during this challenging time. Your patience and trust mean the world to us, and we are deeply committed to delivering the high-quality educational content you deserve.

Warm regards,

Mikey and Yann

What's Happening Next?

Thank you so much, we are really touched by everyone's support in this project and cannot wait to start getting the content to you and seeing what you can create!

This page is to make sure everyone is kept up to date with the project and will be updated frequently.

What happens next?

  • Funds from Kickstarter will be collected over next few weeks
  • Back catalog and Lifetime backers will get access to the courses as soon as possible after funds are collected.
  • Early Access will be enrolled in courses the moment they enter production and we’ll notify you as well.
  • We’ll need a few weeks to outline curriculums and consider the order we are doing the projects.
  • We’ll release a timeline for the projects so you know what you’ll be getting and when.

But wait, there’s more!

We had lots of people last time we ran a Kickstarter who had missed it or didn’t have available funds at the time so we have taken the most popular pledges from the Kickstarter and included them on our site.

If you know anyone who would be interested in the project point them at: https://www.canopy.games/p/your-godot-action-rpg-crowdfunding

Any funds raised on our site will still contribute to the stretch goals! We will have a running total on the site.

We will run this campaign extension until the end of November 2021
