Stretch Goals to make the courses even awesomer!

Even though the Kickstarter has ended we are still going for more stretch goals! The more funding we get the more expansive the courses will become. Below is a chart showing what'll you'll be getting as we pass each stretch goal. We'll keep this pre-order open until Godot 4's beta launch.

See what's planned for each stretch goal on our Trello board.
Why an Action RPG?
That's a great question, and after looking at various genres we felt this was an ideal genre to focus on for coding, systems, modelling, animations and assets. It gives you the opportunity to learn about game development in a fun and engaging way. We can explore curated and procedurally generated content.
Why the Godot Game Engine?
- Godot is easy to learn & fun to use!
- It uses GDScript, a powerful, lightweight and easy to use scripting language loosely based on python
- Godot uses a system of nodes and scenes that allows for fast, efficient and easy to use object-oriented design
- Passionate, supportive community
- Completely free to use and publish
- We need more high-quality tutorials for working in 3D with Godot.
Here are some examples of what we will cover in the Godot course:
- Drag and drop inventory management
- Using plugins from the Godot Asset Library
- NPCs driven by behaviour tree AI systems
- Working with Gridmaps
- Making traps and switches
- Combat, health, stamina and character death
Why Godot 4?
Godot 4 is a major update from Godot 3.x, offering new lighting and rendering pipelines, particles physics, better navigation and so much more. It's faster, more visually impressive and a great iteration of a great engine.
Isn't Godot 4 still in development?
Yes. The screenshots and demo of this project were all made in Godot 3.3. The actual Godot part of the project will wait until Godot 4 is released (projected to be Q3 of 2021)

Can I use the assets you provide any way I want?
Almost! If you own an asset pack from us you can use them however you like, for personal or commercial projects with the exception of putting them in another asset pack.
Why Blender?
Blender is more like a suite of programs perfectly suited to creating amazing game assets. It is free to use so is a perfect tool for those just getting started.
The Course Is very likely to be in the New upcoming Blender 3.0 due to be released later this year. If it isn't the courses will start shipping in Blender 2.93 LTS and we will transition to Blender 3 once a stable release is out.

Why LMMS?
LMMS has matured a lot over the last few years and is an excellent choice for game music. It is completely free to use and supports extensions called VSTs so can be expanded very easily.
Using LMMS and our course you will be able to create your very own music for your games. We will start at the basics showing you around the program and introduce elements as they are needed.

Is this project one big course?
No; we will have a series of courses. Our initial goal will have 3 courses, focused on:
- Coding & game design
- Visual asset creation
- Music creation
We have a series of stretch goals each of which expands and enhances your experience and these will be delivered as a series of asset packs and courses.
